The Reason I Love Parrots & Parrot Training

Parrots are special, they are one of the few animals that can communicate with humans (the other species also being birds) this capability fascinates me. Their intelligence is sometimes astounding and some parrots have achieved the IQ of a 3-5 year old child, the part that thrills me most when training a parrot is the fact that that bird will be a loving companion for the rest of your life, that parrot you are working so hard to train will be your friend and companion and will give you tons of laughs just by their original behavior. The African Grey Parrot is generally the most intelligent and easiest parrot to train, it begins speaking generally around its first year (some never do at all but generally most do at their first year) talking can easily be encouraged by food. Food is also used to train your parrot to speak a word or sentence on cue and once the parrot has the concept he can really get good at it! Parrots are very social birds and most mate for life. they become easily attached to their trainers and owners so it is highly recommended that you train your own parrot.
